Contrary to what we see/hear on social media right now, there is no “anti-aging.” No magic pill. No magic workout. Not even magic surgery. Aging is a natural part of life that starts when we’re born. We can’t stop it, BUT we can alter its trajectory.
How we age is influenced by the choices we make every day: Movement, building strength, fueling with nourishing food, prioritizing rest, & managing stress. These habits support your muscles, your bones, your brain, and your energy for living.
There are several theories on aging, but most center around some grouping of physical movement, social engagement, and brain stimulation. For me, that’s group exercise. Whether it’s 30 Minutes of Everything®, Silver Sneakers®, pickleball, tennis, or Tai Chi – it all helps reduce your rate of aging. Moving your body, having to think while you do it, and interacting in a group – that’s it!
Healthy aging isn’t about stopping aging. It’s about maintaining vitality, resilience, and the ability to keep doing the things you love – for a very long time. Are your daily habits doing this?
